According to Moonalice legend, our tribe believes in moderation. We like pretty much everything, but we have discovered that there is a point where too much of any good thing suddenly becomes a problem … and eventually a disaster. Fire is a case in point. Without it, we cannot smoke a doobie or barbecue a chicken. But fire is hard to control. When it gets loose, as it did here in September, horrible things happen fast. We are here today to help the victims of the Butte Fire … and to remind ourselves that life is short and precious. Today's poster by the amazing Lee Conklin -- who lives right up the road from here -- reminds us that the brave men and women who fought the Butte Fire staged their efforts from this very building. Let's honor them by raising money for the victims. In this holiday season, please join us in sharing your love and generosity with everyone you meet.
